Final exams

This week you have been given some information about the final exams. Please look under "important information" on the left of this page to find a pdf. with all the info about the exam.
Some of you have already informed us about what groups you belong to but those of you who haven't, please remember to do so before May 18th.

If you look further down to the left you can also find all presentations we've showed you during the semester. Use them when you study for the exam to review and repeat vocabulary and expressions. We will also publish some presentations that we have used in other classes and that can be useful for you too. Have a look at them to practice and test your grammar!

Please make comments to this post if you have any questions regarding the exam!

Hope you'll have a great weekend!

Homework week 11

Hello!

Next week we will continue the topic "Entertainment". And what would be better than watching a movie that is truly entertaining and includes a lot of singing and dancing? We will watch a movie called "Mamma Mia!" and the homework for next week will be to study some vocabulary and expressions that you will hear in the film.
Remember to bring the questions in the worksheet to class so that you can answer them while you watch the movie.

Also, because this film is a little bit longer than our regular class time we would like to ask you to come to class a few minutes earlier than usual. So please be there so we can start the movie at 07.55/09.45.

Here is the worksheet: Week 11

Homework for week 3

Next week we will talk about the future, life after graduation and what we expect from our lives we have ahead of us. In the work sheet for week 3 you find some exercises that you should complete and bring for your class next week. You don't have to email us anything, just bring your notes so you can discuss with your classmates.

Also, what you should bring next time should be your own words. Do not copy texts from the internet just because they are well written. What you should learn from the exercises is to express yourself, not copy what others have said. Whatever English you produce is better than a text copied from the Internet. :)

You find the material here: Work Sheet 3

About homework

Hello!

Hope you all have had a great weekend and that you were able to catch some sun between the rain showers!

Many of you have asked about how to submit your homework for week 2. And what you should do is to work on the assignments in the work sheet and bring to class. Your homework will then serve as basis for our class discussions. All of you should be prepared to say something in class.

Hope this clarifies things!

Welcome + some things I forgot

Time for me to say a few words :)

My name is Björn Andreasson and I will be you teaching some of you this semester. Normally I'm a graphical designer in Sweden, but somehow ended up here in Nanjing as an English teacher with my girlfriend Malin. And I'm so happy for it - China and Nanjing are really amazing! I hope we will have a great semester together!

And now to some things I forgot to tell my students I had this monday and tuesday - the "Bring your item" assignment is not the only homework you need to do until next week. The complete homework is posted in another post here on the blog by Malin - here! Please tell your friends if they haven't read this post.

Looking forward to meet you all!

Send pictures!

This message concerns the students I met yesterday, Monday. I forgot to ask you to send pictures of yourself along with your name and student number. The 8.00 am group should send their pictures to m6@beakid.se and the 9.50 am group send their pictures to m14@beakid.se.
I need your pictures to learn your names as quickly as possible! There are 400 of you so it might take some time. Please be patient with me if I call you by the wrong name in the beginning! :)

Best,
Malin
